Where Manifestation Actually Lives

Most of us know what we want.

We want more peace and more ease. We want money without constant stress, time that doesnโ€™t feel borrowed, confidence that doesnโ€™t disappear under pressure, and space to breathe without guilt.

Wanting isnโ€™t the problem.

The problem is that wanting alone doesnโ€™t change anything. If it did, most of us would already be living wildly different lives.

What actually shapes your life isnโ€™t what you want on your best days โ€” itโ€™s what you practice on your busiest ones. Itโ€™s what you rehearse emotionally, what you default to under pressure, and what your nervous system returns to when no one is watching.

Thatโ€™s where manifestation actually lives.

Why Wanting Isnโ€™t Enough

Weโ€™re often told that manifestation is about thinking positively or visualizing hard enough. But if that were true, no one who has ever tried would still feel stuck.

Hereโ€™s the quieter truth: you donโ€™t get what you think about once. You get what you repeat โ€” emotionally and behaviorally.

When you consistently feel rushed, your life begins to reflect urgency. When you consistently feel inadequate, you tolerate less than you deserve. When you consistently feel overwhelmed, clarity becomes harder to access.

This isnโ€™t punishment. Itโ€™s pattern.

And patterns donโ€™t respond to motivation โ€” they respond to practice.

Emotional Practice Is Happening Whether You Notice It or Not

Every day, you are practicing something.

Most days, that practice looks like bracing, rushing, self-criticism, over-functioning, or worrying ahead. Occasionally, it looks like pausing, softening, trusting, or allowing.

Much of this happens automatically. Especially for women who carry a lot.

If youโ€™re a mom, a working woman, or someone whoโ€™s used to holding things together, your nervous system likely learned early that staying alert was safer than staying relaxed. That doesnโ€™t mean youโ€™re doing anything wrong. It means your body learned survival.

But survival patterns, when left unexamined, quietly shape the future.

Manifestation Is Less Mystical Than You Think

Manifestation isnโ€™t about attracting things from thin air. Itโ€™s about how your internal state influences the choices you make, the risks you take or avoid, the opportunities you notice, the boundaries you hold, and the energy you bring into rooms.

When you practice calm, you make clearer decisions. When you practice self-trust, you say yes and no differently. When you practice ease, life meets you with less resistance.

This is why manifestation works best when itโ€™s boring and embodied โ€” not dramatic or forced.

The Real Question to Ask

Instead of asking why what you want isnโ€™t showing up yet, try asking a different question: What emotional state am I practicing most days?

Not on vacation. Not on rare good mornings. On average.

That answer isnโ€™t meant to shame you โ€” itโ€™s meant to orient you. Because you canโ€™t change what you donโ€™t notice.

This Is Good News

Hereโ€™s the part that should feel relieving.

You donโ€™t need to overhaul your life. You donโ€™t need to believe perfectly. You donโ€™t need to think positively all the time.

You only need to begin practicing slightly different feelings โ€” consistently. Relief instead of panic. Neutrality instead of self-attack. Pauses instead of pressure.

Small shifts, practiced often, change everything.

A Tiny Practice (Optional, but Powerful)

Today, simply notice what youโ€™re practicing.

When something feels stressful, ask yourself: What am I practicing right now?

Thatโ€™s it. No fixing. No correcting. Just noticing.

Awareness is the first act of alignment.

You donโ€™t get what you want. You get what you practice.

And the moment you begin choosing your internal state with intention โ€” even gently โ€” your future starts adjusting. Not all at once, but steadily.

Which, for busy women, is exactly what works.

You Have to Feel It First

This is for me as much as itโ€™s for you.

Most of us donโ€™t struggle with knowing what we want.
We struggle with believing weโ€™re allowed to feel it before it shows up.

We tell ourselves weโ€™ll relax once things improve.
Weโ€™ll feel confident once the proof arrives.
Weโ€™ll feel peaceful after the circumstances change.

But it doesnโ€™t work that way.

The feeling comes first.

Not because the universe needs convincingโ€”but because you do.

Feeling Is the Language of Creation

You donโ€™t attract what you think about once.
You attract what you emotionally rehearse.

Your nervous system is always asking one question:

Is this safe? Is this familiar?

When you repeatedly feel stress, lack, or urgency, your system treats those states as home.
When you feel calm, grounded, appreciativeโ€”even brieflyโ€”you begin teaching your body a new normal.

Thatโ€™s when things shift.

You Donโ€™t Have to Pretend

This isnโ€™t about forcing happiness or denying reality.

Itโ€™s about choosing:

  • relief over panic
  • ease over urgency
  • trust over self-attack

You donโ€™t need to feel ecstatic.
You just need to feel a little better than before.

Thatโ€™s enough to change the trajectory.

Feeling โ€œAs Ifโ€ Isnโ€™t Delusionโ€”Itโ€™s Direction

When you feel the way you imagine youโ€™ll feel after you get what you want, you begin to:

  • make different decisions
  • notice different opportunities
  • respond instead of react
  • treat yourself with more respect

Thatโ€™s not magic. Thatโ€™s alignment.

The future you want doesnโ€™t arrive and then change you.
You changeโ€”and the future follows.

Try This Today (No Journaling Required)

Ask yourself:

If I already had what I want, how would I treat myself today?

Then do one small thing from that place:

  • rest instead of push
  • speak kindly to yourself
  • pause before reacting
  • choose softness where youโ€™d normally choose force

That is the feeling.
That is the work.

Proof Comes After Practice

Most people give up because they want evidence before embodiment.

But every calm breath, every moment of gratitude, every time you choose peaceโ€”you are practicing the state that brings the result.

You donโ€™t manifest by wanting harder.
You manifest by feeling safer in the now.

A Daily Reminder

You donโ€™t need to earn feeling good.
You donโ€™t need permission to feel at ease.
You donโ€™t need the outcome to arrive first.

Feel it now.
Let your body learn it.
Let your life catch up.

So if you forget tomorrow, or next week, come back here.

Come back to the feeling.
Come back to yourself.

I choose the feeling first. Everything else follows.

An Almost End-of-Year Reset

I used to think resets had to be dramatic.

New planners. New routines. Big declarations about who I was going to become next.

But as the years have passed โ€” and life has gotten fuller, louder, and more layered โ€” Iโ€™ve learned that the most meaningful resets are often the quiet ones.

This isnโ€™t a post about reinventing yourself before January 1st.
Itโ€™s about pausing, noticing, and gently clearing space before what comes next.

An almost end-of-year reset.

This Isnโ€™t a Glow-Up

If youโ€™re tired, you donโ€™t need a glow-up.
If youโ€™re overwhelmed, you donโ€™t need a ten-step plan.
And if this year stretched you in ways you didnโ€™t expect, you donโ€™t need to โ€œfixโ€ that.

Youโ€™re allowed to end the year as you are.

For me, manifestation has never been about forcing change. Itโ€™s been about awareness โ€” noticing patterns, energy, habits, and thoughts. Paying attention to what feels aligned and what feels heavy, and letting that awareness guide the next small step.

Thatโ€™s what this reset is about.

Clearing Space (Without Pressure)

Clearing space doesnโ€™t have to mean doing more. Often, it means doing less.

Less noise.
Less comparison.
Less carrying things that no longer fit the season youโ€™re in.

This might look like:

  • Letting go of expectations you picked up along the way
  • Unsubscribing from voices that make you feel behind
  • Allowing rest to be part of your practice

Manifestation isnโ€™t always about calling things in. Sometimes itโ€™s about making room.

Intention Over Resolution

I donโ€™t set rigid New Yearโ€™s resolutions anymore. Instead, I return to intention.

An intention is softer. It leaves room for real life โ€” for kids, work, mess, joy, exhaustion, and change.

As I look ahead, Iโ€™m asking myself:

  • How do I want to feel moving forward?
  • What kind of energy do I want to bring into my days?
  • What would it look like to trust myself a little more?

You donโ€™t need a perfect answer. You just need an honest one.

Ending the Year Where You Are

If youโ€™re closing this year feeling grateful, that matters.
If youโ€™re closing it feeling tired, that matters too.
If youโ€™re somewhere in between, that matters just as much.

This is your permission slip to end the year gently. To reflect without pressure. To reset without erasing yourself.

You donโ€™t need a whole new life.
Youโ€™re allowed to build on the one you already have.

Journal Prompts for an Almost End-of-Year Reset

You donโ€™t need to answer all of these. Sit with the ones that feel gentle, not demanding.

Looking Back (Without Judgment)

  • What moments from this year still feel warm when I think about them?
  • What did I carry this year that I no longer want to bring with me?
  • Where did I show resilience that I might be overlooking?
  • What surprised me about myself this year?

Taking Inventory

  • What consistently gave me energy?
  • What quietly drained me, even if I told myself it was โ€œfineโ€?
  • What patterns did I notice in my thoughts, habits, or reactions?
  • Where did I push when rest would have served me better?

Releasing with Care

  • What expectations am I ready to release?
  • What does letting go look like for me right now โ€” practically, not perfectly?
  • What would feel lighter if I stopped trying to control it?

Looking Ahead (Softly)

  • How do I want to feel moving forward?
  • What kind of energy do I want to bring into my days?
  • What would it look like to trust myself a little more?
  • What am I open to receiving, without forcing the how?

Closing Gently

  • What does a gentle reset look like for me?
  • What do I want to remember as this year ends?
  • What am I allowed to take slowly?

Thereโ€™s no rush. Youโ€™re allowed to meet yourself where you are โ€” and begin again from there.

1-2-21

Day two of the New Year and I am feeling as optimistic as ever. I spent time last night talking with my husband about the importance of visualization and I love that he is onboard and actually does practice manifesting our future in his own way. I was quite surprised when he pulled out his laptop and showed me the entire blueprint for our future dream house that he has designed in his free time. I was impressed with not only his architectural skills but our shared vision for the overall aesthetic of the house, as well. Bring it on, Universe!

I also spent time before bed imagining the first time we invite our family friends over to tour our new house. I imagined walking them through the house, sharing wine by the fire pit, watching the kids swim in the pool, and an overnight stay in our guest rooms. I imagined us waking up to a fresh breakfast made by our chef and sharing laughs over coffee (perhaps a mimosa or two?) before seeing everyone off in our beautifully landscaped driveway.

I recently read that it is important to include movement in your visualizations, and I did feel that this particular practice elicited a genuine sense of joy and eagerness for the future.

Today I went to the hair salon to get a fresh do for 2021 and I practiced visualizing throughout my appointment. I imagined my new car parked out in the parking lot, I envisioned my regular visits to the salon and occasional home visits from the stylist. It was a very enjoyable process, and I must say that I am thrilled for what the future holds.

Cheers to a positive and joyful 2021!

I am so happy and grateful now that we have millions of dollars in the bank.

I am so happy and grateful now that we live in our dream house on the lake.

I am so happy and grateful now that I run a very successful business from home.

I am so happy and grateful now that we travel to luxurious, exotic destinations all over the world.

Until next time…

January 1st, 2021. Man that feels good to write. Renewal. Hope. Love. Joy. That is what I expect in this New Year. Life is a gift and I am making it my priority this year to wake up and be present. I won’t worry about that past or fret about the future. I will live in the now. I will joyously create. I will give my family the greatest gift there is- the gift of love, patience, and kindness. I will be the most positive and enthusiastic person I know. I will meditate and visualize. I will write and practice gratitude. This year will transform my life.

I was reading The Secret again this morning, because it’s message is easy to absorb and the information is straight to the point, and Bob Proctor recommended to begin each statement of gratitude like this, “I am so happy and grateful now that …”

It continues, “When you give thanks as though you have already received what you want, you are emitting a powerful signal to the Universe. That signal is saying that you have it already because you are feeling gratitude for it now. Each morning before you get out of bed, make it a habit to feel the feelings of gratitude in advance for the great day ahead, as though it is done.” –The Secret pg 80

So let’s try it out…

I am so happy and grateful now that we have millions of dollars in the bank.

I am so happy and grateful now that we live in our dream house on the lake.

I am so happy and grateful now that I travel all over the world.

I am so happy and grateful now that I work from home.

When I reread my statements, I close my eyes and visualize what it feels like to be in those moments. According to my reading, the visualizations and feelings that accompany my visualizations are the driving force behind the Law of Attraction.

What are you happy and grateful for? How do you feel when you visualize it in your mind? It feels so good to imagine.

Yesterday I realized that I need to improve upon two areas to help improve my vibration…. I tend to stress when I am running late, and I often wake up in the night and stress about future events (that may or may not ever happen). I need a plan to combat this in the future. I am pondering that today…

Yesterday I came up with a list of songs, memories, and places to raise my vibrational level when needed. I used it several times yesterday and it seemed to work. I will continue to fine tune that list today. What do you do to boost your mood when feeling down or negative?

Who wants to join me this January to kick start the year of your dreams? Step 1 is easy. Write down what you want every day in the form of gratitude statements (I am so happy and grateful now that I…). Take a moment to visualize each statement and really feel the joy that those visions elicit. Join me on Facebook each day to share your gratitude statements. Let’s kick off the New Year right and make 2021 the year that will transform our lives!

Until next time…

12-31-20

It’s the last day of 2020, and I am pumped for 2021! I don’t typically make New Year’s Resolutions, but this year I am going to make one goal for the New Year. For the month of January, I plan to journal every single day and practice gratitude, joy, and the feeling of receiving what I am asking for from the Universe, and then I will reflect on the process. Not a huge time commitment but a huge pay off, I’m certain.

I was reading The Secret this morning, as I often do because it is such an easy and straight forward read, and this particular line really spoke to me. I certainly have the asking down when manifesting my desires, however the feeling aspect requires more work.

“This is a feeling Universe. If you just intellectually believe something, but you have no corresponding feeling underneath that, you don’t necessarily have enough power to manifest what you want in your life. You have to feel it.”- The Secret

And that’s what I plan to do in 2021. How? Well, to start I plan on writing daily journal entries from the perspective of already having everything I have asked for. I do know and believe I have received what I am asking for. Einstein believed that time is only an illusion and I believe that, too. I see the life I am living in some alternate time and it is glorious. And now, I must feel my way into that space.

I found this description of time here, and it perfectly summarizes my perception of time:

“Think of the block universe, which is supported by Einstein’s theory of relativity, as a four-dimensional space-time structure where time is like space, in that every event has its own coordinates, or address, in space-time. Time is tenseless, all points equally “real,” so that future and past are no less real than the present.”

In other words, at some other coordinate in space-time, I have received everything I have asked for. I am currently receiving, and in order to get to that future coordinate, I must feel my way there. #2021goals

I think it is important to write down what I want everyday. I learned this practice of writing and rereading what I want in the book It Works! The Little Red Book that Makes Your Dreams Come True.

So here it is (again):

  1. I am wealthy. I am rich. I am a multi-millionaire.
  2. We live in our dream house on Lake Austin. It was built by Juaregui Architect exactly to our liking and style. We had an interior designer decorate the house from top to bottom. Everything is new and beautiful. Our house backs up to the lake. It sits on a large, lush lot that gently slopes down to the lake. There is tons of land for the kids to play on. We built a resort style pool and have ample outdoor living space. We have a two-story boat dock at the end of our property. On top of the boat dock is a sun deck with a water slide for the kids. Our house is fully staffed with a chef and maid. Our house is always clean and organized. There is no place we would rather be than home.
  3. We travel at least once a month to any destination we please. When we are wanting a winter wonderland we find a snowy retreat and when we want clear water and sunshine we head for a tropical beach. We have our favorite spots where we frequent- like Little Dix Bay and Jumby Bay- but we also venture off the beaten path frequently. We fly first class or private jet, and we often host friends or family on our vacations.
  4. Our kids attend the best private school in town.
  5. They all go to summer camp during the summer.
  6. My kids are fun, easy, and a joy to be around.
  7. One of our favorite past times is spending the day on the lake together. We will wakeboard and tube. We like to park the boat and just hang out. We always stop at one of our favorite restaurants where we are considered regulars.
  8. We belong to the most exclusive country club in town. I play tennis and the kids play at the pool. My husband likes to golf and the kids are taking lessons, too. We have many happy hours and meals at the club. We rub elbows with the most important people in town.
  9. We have a box at the stadium for football games. We go to every home game and sometimes travel to big away games. We always invite friends and family.
  10. I have a personal stylist who is in charge of everyone’s wardrobe in the house. I always look put together, even when I am in my “comfy” clothes. I spend a lot of time each week pampering myself, whether it is a mani/pedi, massage, facial, or hair appointment. I often travel to my appointments but it is not uncommon for these services to be performed in our house.
  11. I can be, do, or have anything I desire.
  12. Life is easy and full of joy. I am literally here to create and enjoy life.
  13. Good things always happen to me. Most people call me lucky but I know that it is not luck, but a product of my mental work instead.

I am grateful for:

  1. My computer and internet
  2. Good books
  3. A new year

Money is abundant.

I am here to joyously create.

Be the most positive and enthusiastic person you know.

Until tomorrow, โœŒ๏ธ & good vibes to you!

“Only when you pay attention to the way you feel can you guide yourself steadily toward your own goals.” –Ask and it Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires

Today I will set a reminder for every hour to check in on my emotions, mood, and how well I am doing with controlling my thoughts. Every hour may seem excessive, but the goal is that this will eventually become second nature and I will constantly be in touch with my Emotional Guidance System moving forward.

“Pay attention to the way you feel, and deliberately choose thoughts- about everything- that feel good to you when you think them.” Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires

Three Positive Thoughts for the Day:

  1. Money is abundant.
  2. Our house is gorgeous, clean, and beautifully decorated.
  3. I am a stay-at-home mom.

I am Thankful for:

  1. The health of our family.
  2. A loving and supportive extended family.
  3. Two weeks off from work.

12/10/20

Today was sort of a blah day. It’s funny how some days I am so good at remaining positive and feeling optimistic about the day and other days are a struggle. I guess it’s just human nature and that’s why so many of us are not reaching our full potential when trying to manifest and practice the law of attraction. I definitely went through the motions today, but I haven’t had a true sense of inner joy since waking up.

I am grateful to wake up with a roof over my head. I am grateful for my health and the ability to wake up and live a healthy life. I am grateful to have a job to go to every day. I am grateful for my family.

When I woke up this morning I did not want to get out of bed. I did not want to go to work. I wanted to take the day off and just veg out or catch up on the mountains of laundry that have been haunting me for weeks. I usually fold laundry on my beautiful mango wood dining room table, which drives me bonkers because it is stunning and the dining room is gorgeous, but it is always covered in clothes.

I am grateful to have nice things in my house. I am grateful that my children have clothes to wear. I am grateful that I have a working washer and dryer. I am grateful for my children.

You see, I have four young children and work a full-time job, so managing the laundry of the house seems like an insurmountable task. Every morning I have to dig through piles of clean clothes to find matching socks for my kids or an outfit that is weather appropriate and somewhat coordinates, and it just makes me mad.

I know the solution… Do the damn laundry. But it’s not always that easy. When I get home from a full day of teaching 2nd grade, I have my own children to care for. Dinner must be made (multiple meals to please everyone), dishes are piled up in the sink, baths, finding clean pjs, bedtime snuggles…. Have I mentioned that I am pregnant with my fifth child and exhausted by 8:00?

I am grateful that we have food to eat. I am grateful that my job allows me to be home for dinner. I am grateful that we have running water and soap to clean our bodies with. I am grateful that I am with my children and that they want to spend time with me.

My husband often works late so I am usually flying solo during the most stressful time of the day, and it is a lot. So that’s why something as simple as laundry causes me so much anxiety.

I am grateful that my husband works hard to support our family. I am grateful that my husband has a job.

Yesterday I was so positive and feeling all of the creation vibes, and gosh did it help me conquer my day. My two year old had an epic meltdown over a cupcake toy and I was so calm and peaceful throughout the drama. Normally my blood pressure would have been through the roof. After school my boys wanted to play baseball and instead of declining out of exhaustion I joined in the game. We had a blast and it was such a sweet way to connect and finish the day.

I want that feeling again. I need to switch my perspective. I am going to reread what I have written and reframe my thinking into words of gratitude. I have done this with a green text color above.

My goal tomorrow is to reframe my thinking with gratitude. The simple act of writing and reading my green sentences has raised my vibration.

Here is what I journaled today:

  1. Money is abundant.
  2. Business is booming.
  3. I can be, do, and have anything I want.

Reminders

I am here to joyously create.

Be the most positive and enthusiastic person you know.

Until next time…
