You Have to Feel It First

This is for me as much as itโ€™s for you.

Most of us donโ€™t struggle with knowing what we want.
We struggle with believing weโ€™re allowed to feel it before it shows up.

We tell ourselves weโ€™ll relax once things improve.
Weโ€™ll feel confident once the proof arrives.
Weโ€™ll feel peaceful after the circumstances change.

But it doesnโ€™t work that way.

The feeling comes first.

Not because the universe needs convincingโ€”but because you do.

Feeling Is the Language of Creation

You donโ€™t attract what you think about once.
You attract what you emotionally rehearse.

Your nervous system is always asking one question:

Is this safe? Is this familiar?

When you repeatedly feel stress, lack, or urgency, your system treats those states as home.
When you feel calm, grounded, appreciativeโ€”even brieflyโ€”you begin teaching your body a new normal.

Thatโ€™s when things shift.

You Donโ€™t Have to Pretend

This isnโ€™t about forcing happiness or denying reality.

Itโ€™s about choosing:

  • relief over panic
  • ease over urgency
  • trust over self-attack

You donโ€™t need to feel ecstatic.
You just need to feel a little better than before.

Thatโ€™s enough to change the trajectory.

Feeling โ€œAs Ifโ€ Isnโ€™t Delusionโ€”Itโ€™s Direction

When you feel the way you imagine youโ€™ll feel after you get what you want, you begin to:

  • make different decisions
  • notice different opportunities
  • respond instead of react
  • treat yourself with more respect

Thatโ€™s not magic. Thatโ€™s alignment.

The future you want doesnโ€™t arrive and then change you.
You changeโ€”and the future follows.

Try This Today (No Journaling Required)

Ask yourself:

If I already had what I want, how would I treat myself today?

Then do one small thing from that place:

  • rest instead of push
  • speak kindly to yourself
  • pause before reacting
  • choose softness where youโ€™d normally choose force

That is the feeling.
That is the work.

Proof Comes After Practice

Most people give up because they want evidence before embodiment.

But every calm breath, every moment of gratitude, every time you choose peaceโ€”you are practicing the state that brings the result.

You donโ€™t manifest by wanting harder.
You manifest by feeling safer in the now.

A Daily Reminder

You donโ€™t need to earn feeling good.
You donโ€™t need permission to feel at ease.
You donโ€™t need the outcome to arrive first.

Feel it now.
Let your body learn it.
Let your life catch up.

So if you forget tomorrow, or next week, come back here.

Come back to the feeling.
Come back to yourself.

I choose the feeling first. Everything else follows.

Day 7: From Pity Party to Power Shift โ€” Choosing Gratitude in the Hard Moments

Ugh. Iโ€™ve been in a mood today. Bloated, tired, off-centerโ€”and, if Iโ€™m being totally honest, struggling to shake it. I woke up feeling full (not in the good, grateful way), and everything just felt heavier than usual. The last 24 hours have been tough.

My husband and I had an amazing date nightโ€”great food, good vibes, real connectionโ€”but as soon as we walked in the door, the energy shifted. We were hit with drama and disappointment. My second child, who just turned ten, had a meltdown that felt like a time machine back to some of our hardest parenting years.

Heโ€™s always been intense. From the moment he was born, it was clear heโ€™d be a challenge in ways I couldnโ€™t have prepared for. I remember the lactation consultant looking at me with confusion as he wailed and refused to latch. โ€œThis has nothing to do with you,โ€ she assured meโ€”and I believed her, but the difficulties never really let up.

For years, we kept saying, When he can crawl, heโ€™ll be happy. When he walks. When he talks. But each milestone passed, and his frustration grew. Eventually, we got answers: ADHD, anxiety, and ODD. With the right medicationโ€”Prozac, which I also takeโ€”we found some peace. But last night, all of that progress seemed to unravel.

We asked the boys to put their iPads away, and the next two hours were chaos. He was hitting, screaming, destroying things, threatening us, threatening his brother. It was heartbreaking. Eventually, the storm passed. He came back to himself and apologized profusely. And while I was proud of myself for staying calmโ€”thank you, Kabbalah and spiritual growthโ€”it still left me shaken.

This morning, getting dressed for his baseball game, nothing in my closet fit. I know hormones are playing a role, but it still hit me hard. The extra five pounds. The frustration. The feeling of defeat.

Honestly? I was having a full-blown pity party.

Soโ€ฆ what now?

Iโ€™m choosing to shift. Iโ€™m choosing to acknowledge the hard stuff and reach for gratitude. Iโ€™m choosing to believe that just because today felt heavy doesnโ€™t mean tomorrow wonโ€™t be lighter.

Ohโ€”and a little glimmer of hope came through today: I got a random $25 refund from a walk-in clinic we visited ages ago. Thank you, Universe. That unexpected blessing reminded me that abundance is always trying to find its way to me.

โœจ Money is abundant. It flows to me freely. I am open to receiving. โœจ

Gratitude Practice

Thank you for my family.
Thank you for my dog.
Thank you for youth sports.
Thank you for work friends.
Thank you for washing machines.
Thank you for cable TV and cozy nights in.
Thank you for the weekend.
Thank you for my car.
Thank you for queso (yes, really).
Thank you for my husband and his steady support.

Manifestation Practice

โœจ I am so happy and grateful now that Iโ€™m at my ideal weight and feel strong and confident in my skin.
โœจ I am so happy and grateful now that we live in our dream homeโ€”beautiful, peaceful, and full of love.
โœจ I am so happy and grateful now that money flows freely and consistently to our family.
โœจ I am so happy and grateful now that I drive my dream carโ€”a white Escalade that brings me joy every day.
โœจ I am so happy and grateful now that we travel often, making memories in beautiful places around the world.
โœจ I am so happy and grateful now that I work from home, doing what I love and creating a life of balance and fulfillment.

Even when the energy feels off, I know I can choose to realign. My power lies in how I respondโ€”and today, I choose to lean into gratitude, trust the process, and believe in the beauty thatโ€™s unfolding. โœจ

365 Days to Abundance: Day 1 of My Manifestation Practice

Here we go. Day 1. Let the journey begin.

In all the books Iโ€™ve read about the law of attraction and manifesting desires, thereโ€™s one common thread: the power of gratitude. The more you appreciate what you have, the more the universe delivers things to be grateful for.

So, this morningโ€”and every morning moving forwardโ€”Iโ€™m taking time to reflect on ten things Iโ€™m truly grateful for. Why ten? Because honestly, I could go on and on about the blessings in my life. Throughout my day, I find myself saying thank you for the smallest and biggest things. But starting with ten helps me center my focus and sets the tone for everything else that follows.

Here is my gratitude list for today:

  1. Thank you for my family. I am so lucky to have them in my life.
  2. Thank you for my home. It keeps my family safe, warm, and comfortable.
  3. Thank you for my job. I love the people I work with and the opportunity to positively influence childrenโ€™s lives.
  4. Thank you for my car. It fits my entire family and allows us to safely get where we need to go.
  5. Thank you for my extended family. Iโ€™m grateful to have a support system that loves me and my family unconditionally.
  6. Thank you for this beautiful day. The sky is blue, the sun is warm, and I love sitting outside and soaking in the fresh air.
  7. Thank you for our health. My family and I are so fortunate to live without limitations in this season of life.
  8. Thank you for spring break. Iโ€™m so lucky to have a career that allows me to enjoy time off and make memories with my family.
  9. Thank you for the healthy, fresh food we have access to every day. It nourishes us and gives us energy.
  10. Thank you for my newfound knowledge of Kabbalah. Itโ€™s been a grounding force and has renewed my spiritual energy in such a meaningful way.

I plan to reread my list several times today and truly sit with the feelings of gratitude that come from reflecting on all that Iโ€™m thankful for.

With my gratitude practice complete, Iโ€™m now setting clear intentions for what I want to call into my life. Iโ€™ll write as if these dreams are already my reality, feeling the emotions they bring.

โœจ I am so happy and grateful now that I am a full-time writer working from home. Each morning, I start my day with a warm cup of coffee in my favorite cozy spot, sunlight streaming through the windows as I write with ease and inspiration. I love the flexibility of my careerโ€”it allows me to set my own schedule and be fully present for my family. The financial freedom it provides has given us the ability to travel, create beautiful memories, and live comfortably. I feel so proud of the recognition and respect Iโ€™ve earned by doing what I love, and it fills me with joy to know my words inspire and connect with others around the world.

โœจ I am so happy and grateful now that we live in our dream home. Our house is spacious and welcoming, with enough room for each of our children to have their own space to relax and grow. We have a bright game room filled with laughter, a cozy movie room where we snuggle up for family nights, a workout room that keeps us energized, and private offices where my husband and I feel focused and inspired. Outside, our beautiful pool sparkles in the sun, and the outdoor living space is perfect for hosting friends and family. The sprawling green lawn is where the kids play freely, their laughter filling the air. We love entertaining hereโ€”thereโ€™s always so much to do, and our home feels warm, immaculate, and inviting for every guest who visits.

โœจโœจ I am so happy and grateful now that my family is able to travel the world together. Our options for transportation, destinations, and experiences are limitless. I am always filled with excitement and anticipation for our next adventure. Sometimes itโ€™s just my husband and me, reconnecting on a romantic getaway; other times, we travel with the kids, extended family, or close friends, creating lifelong memories together. Our children embrace each new culture with curiosity and gratitude, growing into compassionate, open-minded citizens of the world. Every journey brings us closer as a family, and I love the joy and wonder we share exploring this beautiful planet.

The last part of my daily manifestation practice is to choose one scene to meditate on. Today I am going to imagine my family and I enjoying a day at a resort in Virgin Gorda called Oil Nut Bay. I have found pictures online of the exact villa we will stay in. As I imagine, I am going to use my five senses to bring the scene to life. Here are a few pictures that I will use for inspiration.

Iโ€™m wrapping up today with 30 to 60 minutes of reading from this book. Iโ€™ll let you know what insights come up tomorrow! Thatโ€™s it for Day 1โ€”cheers to 364 more days of manifesting greatness ahead!
